God’s Purpose for this life is for you to enjoy it abundantly and spread the Good News.
Did you expect the answer at the beginning of this post? Well, there’s your answer. That’s all you really need to know right? Ha, I wish it was that simple. “But how do I enjoy life abundantly and spread the Good News?” By diving into Gods word. If you have a smart phone, get it out and download The Holy Bible App. It has amazing tools including plans for basically any situation you’re going through or are interested in. When I search abundance, here are a few verses that come up:
“You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”
John 16:24 NLT
“bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far,” says the Lord, who heals them.”
Isaiah 57:19 NLT
“Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
Malachi 3:11 NLT
This is good news. The Good News. God wants us to live full and abundant lives, regardless of the limitations we put on ourselves. Most of our problems come from our way of thinking and forgetting that we aren’t in control. God is in control and that is fantastic because I don’t know how to drive this thing called life very well!
All I know is that I have to remind myself daily that God is the purpose of life. That we have an eternal obligation to build the Kingdom of Heaven and spread The Good News. When you get back down to that Truth, the rest becomes a little easier. Sure we have cloudier days than others, but we will always be lead back Home. Through the thunderstorms of work drama, through the tornados of troubling relationships, and through the tsunamis of emotions, we ALWAYS have our life line, Jesus to pull us back in…even if we caused the storm ourselves.
Love,
B
