An open letter to the person who doesn’t realize how much they are loved.
Me, too.
Knowing and accepting doesn’t look the same. That’s where I feel like I am most of the time. You know, not taking your own advice. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own heads that we create this perception of the way things are, which sometimes can be true, but if we don’t look on the bright side we truly will fall into darkness. Most days I thanks God that I was born an optimist because if I wasn’t, I would be miserable. Life throws your some curve balls that hurt like hell and it’s not just “you not being able to accept life,” it really is hard! It’s okay to understand that your plate is full and you have to start saying NO to somethings, some people, and some habits.
I used to tell myself you have 10 things on your plate. 8 are mandatory and painful, 1 is mandatory not painful, and 1 is for fun. If you’re needing to remove things on your plate, then which one do you chose? Of course you all said the 1 “fun.” But this is a trick statement I used to believe. There aren’t really 8 mandatory and painful things on your plate, you just think there are. Because you grab all of the responsibility instead of delegating some. You can’t take away all the fun. You can’t work harder. You can’t push it off. You need to address the stuff you’ve been dealing with inside and not just ignore the fact that you’re not okay right now! Your mental state of being is more important than most things on life, I can assure you.
Give yourself some credit. You are doing so good at handling what life has thrown at you. You’re dealing with so much crap it’s unreal. You ARE going to be okay. You ARE a wonderful human being. You ARE 100% cool beans, bro. You go Glen Co Co.
This might be the most random post I’ve ever written. Lol. Byeeeeee.
Love, B
