Turmeric Latte AKA Golden Milk

Ever heard of a Golden Milk Latte?

Neither had I until I started working out and having some inflammation in my hands, knees, and feet.

Golden Milk Latte is essentially a concoction of turmeric with other ingredients. No, it’s not gross so hear me out. Health benefits include:

  • Antioxidant
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Anti-bacterial
  • Gastrointestinal Support
  • Prevention of Cancer Growth Cells
  • Arthritis Management
  • Asthma Management
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease Management
  • and even Eczema Management

I’ve not be dabbling with Turmeric Lattes long, but I enjoy drinking them as much as I enjoy their health benefits.

Here’s my spin on the Golden Milk Latte:

Appliances you’ll need: 

  • Coffee mug
  • Microwave or stove w/ pot
  • Blender or ready to whisk your life away lol

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup plant based milk
  • 2 tbsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or MCT oil (here’s the one I have – if you haven’t researched MCT oil, comment below and I’ll do another post on it!)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (this helps boost the absorption and you can’t even taste it!)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • Dash of cinnamon

Directions: 

  1. Fill coffee mug with plant milk, heat in microwave for about 1 min 30 seconds – 2 minutes depending on your microwave.
  2. Add hot plant milk to blender, then add oil, turmeric, black pepper, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Blend.
  3. Pour and enjoy!
